Therapeutic Massage

Customized Massage Therapy Treatments: Rebecca does not believe in a "Standard" massage.  When you arrive for your appointment you and Rebecca will discuss what your body is needing at the time of your appointment and what goals you would like to achieve during your treatment. Whether you just need an hour away from the real world or you are suffering from chronic pain, headache, or injury, your session will be customized to be just as individual as you are. Rebecca does not charge differently depending on the amount of pressure you request nor does she charge additionally for her add on services. If you are needing any of the add on services during a significant part of your session, you are asked to schedule one of her specialty treatments that allow times and compensation for such an in depth session.

Back In Balance

Perfect health means that energy is flowing freely through all channels of our physical, emotional and spiritual selves.  When a blockage occurs it creates "dis-ease".  Pulling wisdom from multiple healing systems from around the world, this truly "balancing treatment" has been created specifically to help strengthen and reconnect your physical, emotional and spiritual energies.

After an initial sage smoke cleansing (Palo santo can be used in place of sage) we will begin…

Consisting mostly of energy work, massage will be performed only at the head/neck, hands and feet. An Ayurvedic massage oil, meant to help balance all “doshas” or constitutions, will be used. *IF you are particularly sensitive to essential oils please let me know prior to the session.

A Reiki treatment will be performed and consist of laying on of hands usually over clothing or linens while I invite the Universal Life Force to flow through me and into you. Reiki often creates a warm and extremely calming effect on the receiver. Your only job is to clear your mind, be present and remain open to Reiki’s guidance. This may take form as physical relief of an ailment or a life decision suddenly becoming clear to you and anything in between.

A chakra balancing will be performed with the use of crystals and tuning forks, placed over clothes or linens. A crystal and tuning fork with specific frequency for each chakra will be used.

We will finish with a few simple Craniosacral holds to encourage your nervous system to reboot and off you will float back into the world with a new outlook and sense of mindfulness.

Massage Cupping: This up and coming bodywork modality is powerful and subtle all at the same time.  Rebecca has been practicing massage cupping for 15 years. Our body and its movement should be fluid...pain and tissue dysfunction occurs when this fluid wave is prohibited from happening.  This treatment is all about bringing that movement and hydration back to our tissues.  Whether you are suffering from an old injury's scar tissue or have an area of chronic tightness, this modality can work miracles.  This should be a "go to" treatment for athletes in training or recovering from an injury. CranioSacral Therapy

CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.  

Reiki

An ancient technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on of hands" and does not include massage so the client may remain clothed if they wish.  Based on the idea that we all have a "life force energy" that flows through us, a Reiki treatment aims at strengthening that life force energy in any area that it may be weak and therefore possibly causing illness or mental distress. Reiki treats the whole person and is widely used in many healthcare settings.  Whether you are experiencing a challenging time in your life or are hoping to assist your body in healing from dis-ease, Reiki can have profound positive effects on your well being.
